Husband, father, and professor of Philosophy. LifeCraft springs from one conviction: there is an ancient wisdom about how to live the good life in our homes, with our families; and it is worth our time to hearken to it. Let’s rediscover it together. Learn more.
When I read the title of this post, I anticipated a meditation on the art of retreating, with gratitude, from various situations in life–indeed, from life itself as one grows old. I know that much about this art has been covered in prior meditations, but perhaps a bit more might be said at some point concerning this often difficult, sometimes painful subject: how to walk away with gratitude, grace, and dignity.
